Depending on who you ask, I'm a few different things.

To my current clients, I'm the consultant they call when they need to see the big picture, a sounding board for the lonely work of leadership, and a photographer and videographer who builds the assets that help sell their business while they sleep.

I write about the work of becoming. I photograph people who build things. I help brands say what they mean.

It's all one thing, from different angles.

I wrote the Wisdom Forge because I got tired of reading books that never changed the week that followed. The book is the system I built for myself.

Working between Kelowna and wherever the story is. My first book, the Wisdom Forge, is publishing in 2026.

Who is Josiah Crowell?

Josiah Crowell is a Canadian entrepreneur, strategic consultant, and editorial photographer based in Kelowna, BC. He is the author of Wisdom Forge, a book and system for personal development that synthesizes cognitive science, behavioral research, and more than a decade of operator experience. His photography practice produces editorial portraits for people known for what they do - founders, executives, makers, authors, artists - shot on location in the spaces where they work. He currently serves as embedded CMO for multiple international audio brands and runs End Goal Media, a creative services agency. He relocates to Edmonton, Alberta in late 2026.

What does Josiah Crowell do?

Three things. First, strategic consultant and fractional CMO: strategic advisory for business owners running companies with real complexity, plus embedded CMO engagements with international audio brands. Second, editorial photographer: portraits for people known for what they do - founders, executives, makers, authors, artists - shot on location in the spaces where they work. Third, entrepreneur: Josiah has built and operated multiple businesses, including a national retail company that grew to five Canadian provinces and 100 employees under his leadership as CEO, and currently owns a local retail business in Kelowna. He has been the CEO being approached by consultants, and he has been the CEO who needed a real sounding board and didn't have one. That experience is what the consulting practice is built on. His writing (the Wisdom Forge book, weekly Substack) is the articulation of what he's learned across all of it.

Where is Josiah Crowell based?

Western Canada, currently Kelowna, BC. Most consulting and photography clients are located outside Kelowna - across Canada, the United States, and internationally. The work is location-independent, with optional in-person engagements where relevant.
